6. Towards a Suburban Renaissance

Thursday 28 November 2024 at 6.30pm

The Gallery, 70 Cowcross Street, London, EC1M 6EJ

The spatial research of Russell Curtis has received national press coverage, and includes ‘Towards a Suburban Renaissance’, which investigates the potential for intensifying London’s suburbs. Holes to Homes proposes the sustainable development of the city’s golf courses, and Housing around Rural Stations looks at the capacity of England’s rail network to accommodate new homes.

Russell Curtis is a founding director of RCKa, a London-based practice that specialises in innovative residential, community and spatial research. The practice has twice been named Social Value Architect of the Year, and in recent years has won the MacEwen Award, the Mayor of London’s Prize and Architecture Today’s Buildings that Stand the Test of Time award. He is chair of Barnet’s Quality Review Panel.
