C20 Open Mic is back! Returning once again from a hugely popular first run, this event is an evening of short talks by young and early-career specialists in twentieth-century heritage.
Focussing on the theme of housing and the domestic sphere, our five speakers will explore such topics as Trellick Tower and community housing; public art commissioned by Sainsbury's; UK housing and value; and Silver End, a new town built by Crittall Windows.
Our speakers include:
Mark Bessoudo, writer and engineer
Skye Langmuir, urban designer at Alan Baxter
Laura Bucero Descalzo, urban designer at Broadway Malyan
Krista Evans, postgraduate researcher and Construction Manager at Hackney Borough Council
Helen Warner, heritage consultant at Alan Baxter
Hosted again by Carlos Finlay.
This evening event is a social occasion and an opportunity for attendees and speakers to get to know each other over a glass of wine.
If you can't make it in person, there's an online version of the event too.
Places are £5 for everyone
Includes a glass of wine
