Our autumn lecture series marks the publication of the latest in our ‘100’ series, 100 Twentieth-Century Sports and Leisure Buildings, and will explore the twentieth century boom in leisure buildings and their structural ingenuity. Lecturers include Simon Inglis, historian of sport stadiums; Mike Taylor of Hopkins Architects; Iain Borden, Bartlett professor and skatepark expert; and C20 Trustee Alan Powers, who has been championing pools since C20’s ‘Farewell my Lido’ campaign.

Thursday 30 October: 2. C20 Stadiums, Simon Inglis
Thursday 6 November: 3. Hopkins: Building for sport, Mike Taylor
Thursday 13 November: 4. FaulknerBrown Leisure Centres, Mike Hall (tbc)
Thursday 20 November: 5. Skateparks, Iain Borden
Thursday 27 November: 6. Sports buildings in Wales, C20 Cymru (speaker tbc)
