The lecture series features some of the leading lights of high-tech architecture recounting the decisive moments and landmark buildings in their careers. Organised by Geraint Franklin, and set to coincide with the publication of his new C20 book High-Tech Britain.

Structural engineer Jane Wernick will discuss three major projects with Edith Blennerhassett – Stansted Airport, Les Serres at the Parc de la Villette and Kew Treetop Walkway. Following the discussion, Jane will take questions from the audience.

Jane Wernick is a structural engineer. Following 22 years at ARUP she started her own company Jane Wernick Associates, now part of engineersHRW. Jane was closely involved with projects including Stansted Airport terminal building and the London Eye.

Edith Blennerhassett is director at ARUP and a chartered building services engineer with over 30 years of experience in the design and delivery of complex projects with ambitious goals for technical excellence and sustainability.
