Isokon Penthouse and Gallery visit

Tuesday 17 February at 12pm – 1.30pm

Isokon, Lawn Rd, London NW3 2XD

Join us for this special midday visit to the crown jewel of the pioneering Isokon Flats. Magnus Englund, the Director of Isokon Gallery Trust, is leading the visit and Cubitts founder Tom Broughton, the owner of the penthouse, is kindly allowing us access.

Isokon was designed by Wells Coates and opened in 1934. Some of its famed residents included Bauhaus émigrés Walter Gropius and Marcel Breuer, as well as Agatha Christie and her husband Max Mallowa.

The visit includes the last chance to see the film Through a Bauhaus Lens: Edith Tudor-Hart in the gallery.

Magnus Englund is the Director of Isokon Gallery Trust since 2014. He wrote Isokon and the Bauhaus in Britain with Leyla Daybelge for Batsford Books and Walter Gropius - an illustrated biography with Leyla Daybelge for Phaidon
