Zoom: British Housing Crisis Lecture Series: 2. Learning from Colin Ward
Autumn Lecture Series: Green Belt, Grey Belt and Brownfield: How the British housing crisis happened, and how to get over it:
2. Learning from Colin Ward
Thursday 31 October 2024 at 6.30pm
Online
Cristina Monteiro and David Knight are both avid readers of the work of the ‘gentle' anarchist Colin Ward (1924-2010). In 2016, David wrote ‘I’m sure Ward would have found cause for optimism in today’s groundswell of cooperative, mutual and third sector forms of human association, which despite frosty conditions are a measurably growing influence in our communities, in housing provision, and in emerging forms of design practice.’
Cristina Monteiro and David Knight founded DK-CM, a practice that works in public from the design of buildings and public spaces to strategy, research design guidance and policy.
