C20 Casework in St James’s, London.  Walk - FULLY BOOKED

A walk led by Ian McInnes around St James’s which has some significant C20 buildings dating from the 1930s to the 1960s and later.

The walk will feature three recent C20 Casework Committee cases, French Railways House, St James’s Church and the Economist Plaza, as well as a recent building of the month Target House by Rodney Gordon. We will also see a William Mitchell mural, along with buildings by James Stirling, Frederick Gibberd, James Emberton, Romaine Walker & Jenkins, Trehearnes, and Armstrong Smith and McMorran amongst others.

Ian McInnes is the current chair the C20 Society and an architect with considerable experience of working in London’s West End.

Meet time/place: 11 am Piccadilly Underground Station on the street at exit 7 on the corner of Piccadilly and Regent Street St James’s.

Finish time/place:  1 pm Piccadilly Underground Station.
