Campaigning for outstanding buildings

The Elizabeth Line Tour

The Elizabeth Line Tour

Saturday 19 November 2022 (resheduled from 17 September 2022)

Start time/place: 10.00am/Paddington Elizabeth Line entrance outside platform No. 1 (the former taxi road parallel with Eastbourne Terrace)

Finish time/place: 1pm/ Liverpool Street Station

Unlike other recent Transport for London underground lines, the design concept behind the Elizabeth Line is different – with its coherent look and more corporate feel giving a more intuitive way to pass through the underground environment. Ian McInnes will lead a tour providing an opportunity to understand those differences while appreciating the scale of the project.

The tour will cover the central section of the line, from Paddington to Liverpool Street. There will be stops at all the stations (including Bond Street if open) including the developments above the new ticket halls in Tottenham Court Road and Farringdon – several of the sites were C20 casework cases.

Ian McInnes is the current C20 chair and an architect

C20 Society Members:  £18 Non-Members: £22 Excludes travel costs
