Span in Blackheath -  Saturday 3rd August 2019 - 2.00 pm - 6.00 pm approximately - FULLY BOOKED

Jack Head and Elain Harwood with lead a tour, with some internal access to Span developments in Blackheath, SE London

Join us on a perambulation of Span developments in Blackheath, designed mostly by Eric Lyons (1912-1980). Starting at Blackheath station, and finishing on the heath itself, the tour will take in the full range of Span housing types (from 1956 right through to 1984), charting the development of Lyons’ architecture and of the Span company itself, in all its iterations. The tour will also include excellent examples of post-war landscaping, for which Span is famous, and access to a number of flats and houses has been arranged.

There will be an introductory evening talk on Span housing by Elain Harwood on Thursday 1st August at The Gallery, 70 Cowcross Street, London EC1M 6EJ.  Please see here for further details and booking.

There is a reduced rate of £25 for members, and £35 for non-members for Thursday’s talk and Saturday’s Blackheath walk and this offer is booked via this event page.
