Modern Art and Publishing 1935-55 event - Tuesday 14th January
Led by: Emma Floyd, Paul Mellon Centre Librarian & Alan Powers
Paul Mellon Centre, 16 Bedford Square London WC1B 3JA
Even astute and avid collectors of art books and ephemera of the 1930s -1950s would struggle to match Peter Nahum’s gift to the Paul Mellon Centre Library, of which an iceberg-tip is currently on view in a ‘Drawing Room Display’ in 16 Bedford Square, including rare catalogues and magazines. Librarian Emma Floyd will introduce the collection and the display, and Alan Powers will add context and detail to some of the items, bringing along a few handling copies from his own shelves. Peter Nahum wil be there on this convivial evening which will end with a drink.
For those unable to attend the event, the display is open to visitors 10.00-17.00, Monday-Friday until 17 January.
