Thursday 17th September 6.30 start

Presented by Paul Catherall and Catherine Croft

The talk will start at Coventry Station and take a meandering ‘walk’ through images of finished linocuts, reference photos and sketches for future prints of the postwar city centre. We’ll be stopping off at the Bull Yard featuring the ‘Three Tuns’ William Mitchell concrete relief sculpture and ‘Precinct Shopping’ lettering, the circular Market and Coventry Point, the Gibson designed upper and lower precinct, journeying past Broadgate to the Cathedral and finally down to the Swimming Baths and the iconic ‘Elephant’. Prints of London landmarks that have been informed by my Coventry childhood such as Elephant & Castle will be included along the way.

We’ll send you a Zoom link by email after you book, which will enable you to “join” the event, and we’ll be using the Q&A function to take questions at the end. If you’ve not used Zoom before, clicking on the Zoom link will take you through the set-up process, hopefully simply and smoothly! You should receive an automated link within an hour of booking so please check your spam/junk emails if you haven't received this. Any further problems please contact coordinator@c20society.org.uk.

The event is free but we welcome donations towards C20’s campaigning here.

The Twentieth Century Society is a registered charity, no 1110244.
