Thursday 24th September 2020 6.30 start

Presented by Valeria Carullo Photographs Curator, Royal Institute of British Architects

The Robert Elwall Photographs Collection at the RIBA is one of the largest and most comprehensive of its kind in the world. It includes images of the built environment worldwide and spans the whole history of photography. This presentation will highlight the Collection’s variety and scope, while introducing participants to the history of architectural photography and its role in architectural culture and practice. It will feature the work of many outstanding photographers such as Dell & Wainwright, Eric de Mare, Edwin Smith and John Donat, and include some of the most striking images in the Collection.

We’ll send you a Zoom link by email after you book, which will enable you to “join” the event, and we’ll be using the Q&A function to take questions at the end. If you’ve not used Zoom before, clicking on the Zoom link will take you through the set-up process, hopefully simply and smoothly! You should receive an automated link within an hour of booking so please check your spam/junk emails if you haven't received this. Any further problems please contact coordinator@c20society.org.uk.

The event is free but we welcome donations towards C20’s campaigning here.

The Twentieth Century Society is a registered charity, no 1110244.
